STEM Tutor 360

    Terms and Conditions

    Effective date: October 2, 2026

    The short version

    • These Terms are an agreement between you and Stem Tutor 360 LLC. You accept them, along with our Privacy Policy, when you check the box at signup or booking, or by using the website.
    • An adult must book: someone 18 or older, or a parent or guardian for a student under 18.
    • Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before a session to avoid being charged for it.
    • We don't do graded work for students, and we can't guarantee scores, grades, admissions, exam results, or job offers.
    • Texas law governs these Terms.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

    1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Stem Tutor 360 LLC ("STEM Tutor 360," "we," "us," or "our"), a Texas limited liability company. They apply when you use stemtutor360.com, create an account, book or attend a session, enroll in a bootcamp or webinar, or buy training for your team.

You accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy when you check the box agreeing to them at signup or booking, and by using the website. If you don't agree, please don't use our website or services. Agreeing to these Terms isn't consent to marketing, recording, or using a student's work or testimonial publicly; we ask for those separately.

The person who agrees must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. If you book for a student under 18, you confirm that you're their parent or legal guardian, that you accept these Terms on their behalf, and that you're responsible for payment and for making sure the student follows them. If you accept these Terms for a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it.

If a written training proposal you've accepted, or the description of a specific program shown before you buy it, conflicts with these Terms, that proposal or description controls for that purchase. Our College Trivia app has its own terms.

    2. Our services

We offer one-on-one tutoring online (through Zoom) and in person in the Richmond, Sugar Land, and Katy area; free consultations; prepaid tutoring packages; bootcamps and webinars; and on-site or online training for engineering teams.

Each service's details, schedule, and price are shown on our website or in a written proposal. All times are US Central Time (America/Chicago), including daylight saving time, unless your confirmation says otherwise.

We may change, add, or discontinue services. That won't affect anything you've already paid for: if we can't deliver something you paid for, we'll refund the part we didn't deliver.

The names of tests, exams, schools, and tools we mention, such as the SAT, ACT, FE exam, and Desmos, belong to their owners. We're independent of those organizations, and mentioning them doesn't mean they sponsor or endorse us.

    3. Accounts

    • Give us accurate information, keep it up to date, and use only a payment method you're authorized to use.
    • Keep your password and meeting links private. Don't share a paid account or program with people who aren't part of the purchase.
    • Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
    • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.

    4. Booking, rescheduling, and cancellations

A session is booked once you receive our confirmation. Choosing a time or starting checkout doesn't reserve it by itself. If your payment went through but no confirmation arrives, contact us before paying again.

    • You can reschedule or cancel a session at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. You'll get that session's fee back, or its time returned to your package.
    • With less than 24 hours' notice, the session is charged in full, or its time is deducted from your package, because that time was reserved for you. There's no other cancellation fee, and we consider emergencies case by case.
    • If the student hasn't joined within 15 minutes of the start time and hasn't let us know, the session counts as used.
    • If the student arrives late, the session still ends at its scheduled time.

Free consultations can be canceled at any time at no charge; please let us know so someone else can have the time. If we need to cancel or reschedule, we'll give as much notice as we can, and you can choose a new time or a full refund (or package credit) for that session.

Send cancellations and refund requests to contact@stemtutor360.com with your name and the session date. Notice is measured from when we receive your message, in Central Time. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; returning time to a package is a credit, not a cash refund.

    5. Online and in-person sessions

Online sessions use Zoom. The student needs a reliable internet connection and a device with a microphone; a camera is recommended. If a technical problem on our side cuts a session short, we'll make up the lost time.

Group programs described as recorded, such as our FE exam cohort for employers, are recorded so participants can review them, and the recordings are for that program's participants only. Other sessions, including one-on-one tutoring, are not recorded unless both of us agree in advance.

Don't record, screenshot, stream, or share a session, or another participant's image, voice, or work, without their permission.

In-person sessions take place at a location we agree on in advance. For a student under 18, a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult must be at that location for the whole session.

    6. Prices and payment

    • Prices are listed on our website or in your proposal, in US dollars. Review the total before you pay. Payment is due when you book, through Stripe, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
    • Purchases are one-time charges. Nothing renews automatically.
    • We may change our prices, but changes don't affect sessions, packages, or programs you've already paid for.
    • If we find a pricing or checkout error, we'll tell you and let you choose between the correct price and a full refund. We won't charge you more without your agreement.
    • If a charge looks wrong, contact us first so we can fix it quickly. This doesn't limit your right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer.

    7. Tutoring packages

    • A package is prepaid tutoring time for the subject you choose when you buy it. You can use its hours in any session length we offer for that subject, subject to the tutor's availability.
    • Package hours don't expire unless an expiration date is shown before you buy the package. We won't add or shorten an expiration date after purchase.
    • You can ask for a refund of unused package hours at any time. We refund them at the package's own discounted hourly rate, after deducting the hours you've used and any late cancellations charged under these Terms.
    • Package hours belong to the account that bought them and can't be transferred to another family unless we agree.

    8. Bootcamps and webinars

    • Your seat is reserved once payment is complete. Seats are limited. Attending a free preview or webinar doesn't reserve a seat in a paid program.
    • If we cancel a bootcamp, or change its dates, format, or scope and the change doesn't work for you, we'll refund you for whatever we haven't delivered, or in full if it hasn't started.
    • Free webinars may be changed or canceled at any time.
    • Cancel at least 7 days before the first session for a full refund. After that, refunds aren't available for a change of plans, but contact us about emergencies or moving to a future cohort of the same bootcamp if one is scheduled and has space.
    • Missed sessions aren't refunded and don't come with a private make-up lesson. Recordings or catch-up materials are included only when the program description says so, and they're for the enrolled student's personal use.

    9. Training for engineering teams

    • Training is booked through a written proposal that sets the program, participants, dates, location, scope, and price.
    • A 50% deposit holds your dates, and the balance is invoiced net 30. Purchase orders are accepted.
    • You can reschedule free of charge up to 14 days before the training. The deposit isn't refundable for cancellations made after that. Your proposal covers anything else, such as earlier cancellations or expenses we can't recover.
    • Travel within 40 miles of Richmond, TX is included. Farther away, we charge mileage plus a day rate for travel time, as set out in your proposal.
    • Share only drawings and materials you're authorized to share. They remain yours. We use them only to prepare and deliver your training, keep them confidential, and will sign your NDA on request.
    • Don't send us export-controlled or other legally restricted technical information, such as data covered by ITAR or the EAR, unless we've first agreed in writing how it will be handled.
    • A certificate of completion confirms attendance. It is not a third-party certification such as ASME's GDTP.

    10. Academic integrity and results

Tutoring is meant to help students learn. We won't complete graded assignments, take tests or quizzes, impersonate a student, help get around exam security, or write work that a student submits as their own, and we may decline requests that would break a school's honor code. Students remain responsible for their own coursework, exams, and registration deadlines.

Results depend on many things outside our control, including a student's effort, attendance, and the exam itself. We don't guarantee any particular score, grade, admission decision, scholarship, exam result (including the SAT, ACT, or FE exam), certification, or job offer. Testimonials describe individual experiences, not a promise of the same results.

    11. Conduct

We expect respectful behavior from everyone in a session, including parents and anyone else present. Harassment, threats, discrimination, and disruption aren't allowed. We may end a session, or stop working with a student or family, if behavior is abusive, unsafe, or unlawful. A session ended for that reason counts as used.

    12. Our content and materials

The website, blog posts, recordings, worksheets, handouts, and other materials we provide belong to Stem Tutor 360 LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You may use them for your own learning, your student's, or your team's internal training. You may not copy, sell, publish, or share them, or use them to run your own tutoring or training business, without our written permission. This doesn't limit fair use or other rights the law gives you. Our name and logo may not be used without permission.

    13. Your work

You keep ownership of work you submit and anything else you send us. You give us permission to use it only as needed to teach, give feedback, and keep necessary records. We won't use it in marketing without your separate permission.

    14. Using the website

Don't misuse the website. That includes trying to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, interfering with the site's security or operation, using bots or scrapers to copy content, uploading malicious code, impersonating someone else, or using the site for anything unlawful.

    15. Other companies' services

We use services from other companies, such as Stripe for payments and Zoom for online sessions. Their terms apply when you use them, and we can't promise they'll always be available. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we don't control those sites or vouch for their content.

    16. Educational information

Our blog posts, guides, and training materials are general educational information. Articles about standards such as ASME Y14.5, or about exams and licensing, summarize those subjects. They don't replace the official standard, the current rules of an exam provider or licensing board, project-specific engineering judgment, licensed professional services where required, or your employer's safety and quality procedures.

    17. Our commitment and disclaimers

We'll provide the services you buy with reasonable care and as described. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, the website and its general content are provided as is, without other warranties, and we don't promise they'll always be available or free of errors. Not guaranteeing results never excuses us from delivering what you paid for.

    18. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to our website or services is limited to the greater of $300 or the fees you paid for the affected service in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.

These limits don't apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury where the law doesn't allow a limit, rights the law doesn't let anyone give up, or our obligation to refund services we didn't deliver. Where the law where you live doesn't allow a particular limit, that limit doesn't apply to you.

    19. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if someone makes a claim against us because of content you posted, your misuse of the website, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

    20. Ending our relationship

You can stop using our services and ask us to close your account at any time. Closing an account doesn't cancel a booking or request a refund by itself, so tell us about those separately. We may suspend or end your access for a serious breach of these Terms, nonpayment, misuse, or a safety concern; where practical, we'll explain the problem first and give you a chance to fix it.

Either way, unused prepaid services are handled under the refund policies above; we don't simply keep them. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as payment obligations already incurred, ownership of materials, limitation of liability, and governing law, continue after our relationship ends.

    21. Events outside our control

If illness, severe weather, power or internet outages, or other events beyond our reasonable control prevent a session or program, we'll reschedule it. If we can't reschedule within a reasonable time, we'll refund the part we couldn't deliver.

    22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of laws rules, subject to any consumer protections that apply to you and can't be waived.

If you have a concern, contact us first. Most problems can be solved quickly, and we'll try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days. That doesn't stop you from contacting a regulator, disputing a charge with your bank, or acting to meet a legal deadline.

If we can't resolve it, any claim must be brought in the state courts located in Fort Bend County, Texas, or the federal courts for the Southern District of Texas, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim that qualifies in small claims court.

    23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we'll also tell you by email or with a notice on the website and ask you to accept them where required. Changes apply going forward: a purchase stays under the Terms you accepted when you made it, unless you agree otherwise or the law requires a change.

    24. General

    • These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any written training proposal you've accepted are the whole agreement between you and us about our services.
    • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
    • If we don't enforce a provision right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
    • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, but that never reduces services you've already paid for.
    • We'll send notices to the email address on your account or booking. You can send notices to contact@stemtutor360.com.
